Editorial policy
This is how we test press-on nails at Loose Nails. Short and to the point, so you know what sits behind every recommendation.
How we test
We glue the sets onto real nails and live with them. Prep, glue amount or glue tabs, shape and removal — everything we write about we have done ourselves. The recommendation comes from the hand, not from a product page.
We time the hold
We count the days a set lasts. "This one held for five days before the first nail lifted" is a number we measured, not guessed. Everyday life, dishes and gloves are part of the test.
We never invent numbers
If there is a number on our pages, we measured it ourselves. We do not round up for effect. When we have no basis for a claim, we drop the claim rather than dress it up.
We say when a set fails
A chrome set that flakes after a day gets to say so. We do not hide what disappointed us, and we do not pretend everything stays on. Being honest about what does not work is the whole point.
Conflicts of interest
We are not paid to write nicely about any single set. If we recommend one, it is because we would glue it on again ourselves.
Corrections
If we retest a set and get a different result, we update the text and set a new date. Spot a mistake? Write to us at hej@loose-nails.com and we will correct it and add a note at the top of the article.
